Doesburg, P.H. van.
A new species, Zanchius stami Van Doesburg (Insecta, Heteroptera, Miridae, Orthotylinae) from Syria, Deir-ez-Zor, is described and illustrated. Late eggs taken from the female abdomen have a peculiar chorionic process. It was found living (predaciously?) on cotton plants. It is compared with the closely related Z. alatanus Hoberlandt, 1956. Type specimens are deposited in the Rijksmuseum van Natuurlijke Historie, Leiden, two paratypes in the Národní Muzeum, Praha.

Gittenberger, E..
A new Chondrula species is described, most probably belonging to the subgenus Eubrephulus, viz. Chondrula (Eubrephulus) peloponnesica spec. nov. The species is known from a single locality only, situated on the SE. Peloponnesus, Greece. Shells of the other two Eubrephulus species known are figured for comparison. The distribution of the subgenus is indicated on a UTM 50 km grid map.

Beiträge zur Kenntnis der Pupillacea : XI. Speleodentorcula Beroni gen. & spec. nov. (Mollusca: Gastropoda: Orculidae) Aus einer Höhle in Euboea, Griechenland Naturalis
Gittenberger, E..
A new troglobitic genus and species, viz. Speleodentorcula beroni gen. & spec. nov., is described from the island of Euboea, Greece. The species, known from a single cave only, is quite isolated systematically. According to the structure of its shell and the genitalia S. beroni should be classified with the Orculidae. Within this family Speleodentorcula is most similar to Walklea anatomically; conchologically there is some vague resemblance to Fauxulus (apertural denticles) and Odontocyclas, Walklea, Fauxulus and Afriboysidia (surface sculpture). Speleodentorcula alone is considered the sister group of the taxon encompassing these last mentioned four genera.
